paints to your brief
Tell her your experience
or supply a photo and
she will capture this
for you in oils. Erin
also does “trophy
paintings” where
the fish is life size
on canvas. A measurement
of body height,
length, and tail width
is required before releasing
the fish and a side
on photo. where the
fish was caught
and what type of day
aids mood and atmosphere. |

On her approach
to painting
Erin says: Trout are well known for the way they adapt to become
part of the river or lake in which they live - but the thing that
always amazes me is how each fish also fits in perfectly to the
environment outside of the water.
This is what i try to portray in my paintings - a territorial brown
cruising over a South Otago valley - a high country rainbow racing
through a backdrop of tumbling rocks and tussock. |
